HYPOTHESIS

Panic Attack Disorder effectsaffects children, teenagers and adults everyday. 0.7% of people with this disorder start to get it as a child, and I was part of that percentage. Many people do not think that this disorder is serious and is the same thing as anxiety, but they are two completely different things. This disorder affects people physically, mentally, and emotionally and makes them live a life of being scared 24/7. Not only does this disorder affect the person that has it, but it also affects the people around them and the emotions they feel when they see their loved one go through this all the time and how they react to the symptoms. Even though a lot people do not know what this disorder is, does not mean they should not care.

CONTEXT

Writing this blog and making this survey was too reach out to those who are unaware of this disorder, so my audience was targeted mainly on those who do not know what it is, or those who have it and want to learn more about their disorder. I chose these respondents because they were unaware of what the disorder was or knew someone or is that someone who has experienced these symptoms and knows what this does to certain people. My results on the survey were reliable because 50% did not know what this disorder was and 50% knew someone who has this disorder and gave me the results that I needed. I did not have to change any of the questions for my audience because they understood what I was getting at on the survey and knew how to formally answer my survey.

What do you think causes panic attacks?

DATA ANALYSIS

Looking at the results I received on my survey I was over whelmed at what I saw. Yes, I was giving my survey to those who did not know what it was but realizing that some did not even think that it was important made me upset. This IS a disorder that people in the world go through everyday and they do experience these symptoms almost everyday. Waking up and fearing that you might have a panic attack does not make your day go by any easier. Making this blog I hope will give people a better understanding on these different disorders and how they can affect people in different ways and how they can affect the people that they are surrounded by everyday.

One of my questions asks if panic attacks affect children more than adults, and some put that it does not. This is not true because children and teenagers have different thoughts on what is going on when they get these panic attacks and are scared of whats going to happened to them. Children do not know what is going on and can sometimes fear many more things because of what they are thinking and teenagers sometimes get thoughts that they are not suppose to get and affect them even more than it is suppose too. Adults get panic attacks and are affected very badly ,badly, yes ,yes, but children are more naïve to the situation and sometime may think that something will happen to them if they tell someone. So, children and teenagers feel more pain when they get panic attacks but some adults start feeling less of the pain as the years go by.

People like to assume that the ones that get panic attacks just get them because their over reacting about something or is just scared, quite the contrary. To get a panic attack you have to have a fear of something or a phobia and it usually scares you when you think about it. Many often think that having depression causes panic attacks, but panic attacks usually end up causing depression or other things like schizophrenia. Loneliness is also a result to panic attacks and can soon become a fear whichfear, which makes the situation a lot worse. Some of us  do not know how to forget a fear or live without it because you’ve been living with that fear your whole life and it becomes a part of you. So, panic attacks are not easy to get rid of and can cause more than just a panic.

CONCLUSION

Looking back at my hypothesis I realized that my guess was correct. It is true that there are a lot of people out there that are unaware of this disorder and do not know what people go through when they have a panic attack. I was shocked when people did not even write down what they think it is and just assumed that it was a bad disorder. Once you know about and experienced someone having a panic attack you will understand how hard life is for that one person. I can conclude that people do not know what this disorder is and how it affects people in everyday life. I would like people to realize how serious this disorder can get and that there can be ways to cure it but some people choose not too.

FOLLOW UP
After using this research and seeing peoples point of views on panic attack disorder, I want to let people know how everyday someone gets one of these panic attacks and their symptoms get worse and worse. I would like people to know that if they know someone who has this disorder that they should comfort that person and tell him or her that everything will be okay no matter what happens to you. Having someone love and care and understand what your going through makes this a lot easier and makes you live life better.
